This spring, don't worry too much if your toes are round or pointy, or whether you can start wearing light-colored leather: The big shoe stories of the season are about interesting materials and sculpted heels.
A couple of pairs of wood, cork, jute or raffia wedge sandals, plus a peep-toe pump and a jazzed-up ballet slipper will easily fast-forward your warm-weather wardrobe from last Labor Day to the present. Heel heights run the gamut but be warned - they're thicker than last year.
